Knitting Next Steps: The Breakwater Beanie

This 2-session Knitting Next Steps course will teach you the skills needed to make a hat.  Together students will work with a worsted weight yarn to make a fold over brim beanie.  You will learn the following skills:

  • Purl stitch

  • Knitting in-the-round

  • Decreasing

  • Knitting with double pointed needles OR magic loop for working in small circumferences

Purchase before the start of class:

  • 1 skein (~200 yds) of worsted weight yarn

  • 1 US 6 - 16” circular needle

  • 1 set US 6 double pointed needles OR 1 US 6 - 32” circular needle (wait until the second class to purchase)

  • Tapestry needle

  • Stitch markers

The Breakwater Beanie by The Purling Pigeon from Ravelry will be provided via email upon purchase of the class.

Materials for the class must be bought at Must Love Yarn.  Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.

Cancellations can be made for a complete refund 10 days before the date of the class. Must Love Yarn reserves the right to cancel the class if the minimum number of students is not met, at that time a full refund will be given to any students who have registered.
