This 2-hour Introduction to Knitting course will teach you the basics of knitting.  Together students will work with a bulky weight yarn to create a simple mug cozy. 

No experience is necessary. Whether you’re completely new to knitting or just need a refresher, this class will guide you step-by-step through each technique in a supportive and hands-on environment. By the end, you'll have the skills to begin simple projects and read basic knitting instructions. You will learn the following skills:

  • Casting on

  • Knit stitch

  • Knitting flat

  • Binding off

  • Whip stitch

Purchase before the start of class:

  • 1 skein (~100 yds) of bulky weight yarn

  • 1 pair of US 10 straight needles

  • Tapestry needle

Materials for the class must be bought at Must Love Yarn.  Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.

Cancellations can be made for a complete refund 10 days before the date of the class. Must Love Yarn reserves the right to cancel the class if the minimum number of students is not met, at that time a full refund will be given to any students who have registered.
