Introduction to Colorwork: Storhedder

This 2-hour Introduction to Colorwork course will teach you the basics of stranded colorwork.  Together students will work on a worsted weight unisex colorwork hat with a classic Scandinavian motif.  You will leave with the skills to complete your colorwork hat and the foundations needed to take on more challenging colorwork patterns in the future.

Homework to complete before the start of class: With smaller needle (US 6) and background color, cast on 88 stitches. Place marker, join for working in the round taking care not to twist. Work in k1, p1 rib for 1½" (4cm).   

Purchase before the start of class:

• 2 skeins (~200 yds per skein) of worsted weight yarn

• 1 US 6 - 16” circular needle

• 1 US 7 - 16” circular needle

• 1 set US 7 double pointed needles 

• Tapestry needle

• Stitch markers

Storhedder Pattern by Mary Jane Mucklestone from Ravelry will be provided via email upon purchase of the class.  Please include your Ravelry username in the notes sections when checking out if you would like the pattern to populate in your Ravelry library.

Materials for the class must be bought at Must Love Yarn.  Students will receive a 10% discount on the cost of supplies for the class.

Cancellations can be made for a complete refund 10 days before the date of the class. Must Love Yarn reserves the right to cancel the class if the minimum number of students is not met, at that time a full refund will be given to any students who have registered.
