Class - Intro to Knitting Socks!
This product is unavailable
This is a 2 day/part class: February 17th & 24th 10:30am-12:30pm
Knitting socks can be relaxing and rewarding and they are a fantastically portable project that you can take along with you just about anywhere! In this class we will be knitting short ankle socks out of worsted weight yarn. This will allow us to get through the trickiest part of the sock, the dreaded heel turn and gusset! Once you get through that part, the rest of the sock is a breeze, then comes the toe. Not so difficult, the kitchener stitch can be a little fussy, but not to worry, you'll be a kitchener pro in no time!
Prerequisites: You should be comfortable knitting in the round, decreasing and increasing.
- Size US 5 needles or size to get gauge, your choice of double points or circulars for magic loop (if you are familiar with magic loop), or 9" circulars (with DPNs for the toes)
- Approximately 200 yards worsted weight yarn (Berroco Vintage was used in the sample - lighter colored yarns are easier to work with and you can see your stitches better)
- Tapestry Needle
- Stitch Markers
