Hand Wash, Dry Flat

We have been raising Border Leicester cross sheep since 1991 on our farm in South
Hero, Vermont. Our goal has always been a soft fleece which would appeal to hand
spinners. We started with a Border Leicester/Romney cross which had the best of
both breeds: softness from the Romney and shine from the Border Leicester. Over
time we added 4 pure bred Blue Faced Leicesters, which added another beautiful
dimension to the wool. We currently have 25 ewes, both white and natural colored.
