For washing handknits or other hand washable garments add a capful to a basin or sink full of lukewarm water. Allow to soak and agitate gently, Rinse in the same temperature water. Drastic changes in water temperature can cause felting and shrinking.  Gently squeeze out excess water, lay flat to dry. Not So Dirty Girl Wool Wash can be used to spot treat stains and spills as well as traditionally wash.

For scouring raw wool use the hottest water available from you tap.  Fill a bowl, basin or sink full of hot water and put your raw wool into the water, allow it to soak for a few minutes. Drain the water. Squeeze the excess water out of the wool and apply approximately a 1/4 cup of Not so Dirty Girl Wool Wash per pound of wool. More shampoo may be required for fleece with heavy dirt or lanolin. Work Not So Dirty Girl Wool Shampoo through the wool as if it was your own hair. For extra dirty fleece this process may be repeated. Rinse using the hottest tap water available, squeeze excess water out of the wool (or use a salad spinner) and allow to air dry.

Not So Dirty Girl Wool Shampoo is an all purpose soap product and can be used to wash wool hunting clothing, sheepskins, or wool blankets, spot treat stains or spills on wool rugs, wash your dog, heck... I've even used ito to wash my own hair! xo Heidi (Founder of Dirty Girl Yarns)
