Class - My First Sweater

Eager to make your first sweater but unsure if you’re ready? This three-part series will take you through all the steps as you knit an infant or toddler-sized sweater. Skills you will learn/practice: making and measuring a gauge swatch, top-down garment construction, increasing and decreasing stitches, making raglan sleeves, and the “Magic Loop” technique.
Materials: US 6 and US 8 32” circular needles (or size to get gauge), 300-440 yards worsted weight yarn, depending on the size you choose to knit (sample knit in Plymouth Encore), locking stitch markers, scissors. Pattern will be provided.
Three sessions: August 7, 14, and 28, 2 hours each, suitable for Advanced Beginner levels (must be confident with knit and purl stitches, casting on and binding off, and knitting in the round. Please note: You will need to work on your project between sessions in order to complete your sweater.
