Class - Cables Without Fear
Saturday, April 16th, 10:30am-12:30pm
Please join us for this class designed to demystify cabling. We will get you started on your way to making a cabled hat - learning all the techniques necessary to cable anything with ease.
This is an advanced beginner class – you should be confident with knit and purl stitches, and have a bit of experience knitting in the round and using increase/decrease stitches. Skills you will learn/practice: reading charts and understanding terminology, using cable needles or stitch markers to hold stitches in the front and back of your work, "reading" your knitting to make sure the pattern is unfolding as you wish.
Materials for class: US 8 needles, worsted weight yarn, cable needle.
Materials for hat: US 8 needle, either a 32” circular for magic loop, or a 16” circular and double points, one skein worsted weight yarn, locking stitch markers, darning needle and scissors for weaving in ends.
One session, two hours, suitable for Advanced Beginners.
All students will be given a 15% discount on yarn supplies for the class (with the exception of a few yarn brands). Please let us know at the time you are checking out that you are taking this class so that we will be sure to give you the discount!
Cancellations can be made for a complete refund 10 days before the date of the class. Must Love Yarn reserves the right to cancel the class if the minimum number of students is not met, at that time a full refund will be given to any students who have registered.
