Class - 10/28 Not your Grandma's Granny Squares

Crochet Granny Squares 10/28 1-3pm

Description: In this one day class, we'll focus on everything you need to know to make granny squares and join them together into an infinite number of garments, bags, and other accessories.  We'll cover:
-joining or changing colors/yarn
-cluster stitches vs bobble stitches
-working continuously in round
-magic circle and small circumference starts
-seaming together at end vs joining as you go
-how to weave in ends as you crochet
-measuring gauge of granny squares
-blocking of granny squares (peg looms and such)

Materials

  • At least 25 grams of 3 colors of yarn in the same weight (recommend DK or worsted)
  • Crochet hook in an appropriate size for the yarn you've brought
  • Darning Needle

All students will be given a 15% discount on yarn supplies for the class (with the exception of a few yarn brands).  Please let us know at the time you are checking out that you are taking this class so that we will be sure to give you the discount!

Cancellations can be made for a complete refund 10 days before the date of the class. Must Love Yarn reserves the right to cancel the class if the minimum number of students is not met, at that time a full refund will be given to any students who have registered.
